Posted 12 July - I have heard about these 2 strategies over and over and I am a big believer in trading naked charts.

The 5-Minute Forex "Momo" Trade

Seeing patterns can be extremely hard sometimes for the untrained eye and it can take massive amounts of screen time to get it down right. I thought I would start this thread so any of us that are interested in these 2 strats can collaborate and post screenshots of trades they have found so we can all learn to see these very reliable patterns.

And nice 2b video Yawks. I don't think it's a 2b pattern on that example. It is a bearish engulfing pattern. But those bearish candles did not cover any breakout candle which should happen to qualify for a 2b pattern if I am correct.

I will try and send some of my findings later on as well. Hopefully we can learn a lot about these 2 patterns and also find a way to apply them to binary options. Which I think do need filters as you have to deal with expiry times. You can see the W show up quite well and as price moves below the previous lower low it springs back creating the last leg of the W.

Correct me if I am wrong but here is the only problem I have with a line graph. Line graphs are based on Closing Price Nice to finally have a thread about these 2 patterns. Both are really nice trades btw.

One thing that can be used effectively to see the M's and W's is to toss zigzag on the chart set at 5,3,1. As you can see in this pic it shows 2 W's quite plainly.

That is harder than it sounds ,and scares people away. It is also why I have repeatedly stated on these Forums ; use a LINE Graph setting such as the one on freestockcharts. You will find that spotting either pattern , especially Milky ,is MUCH easier in that setting. Many times the letters " M " and " W " have very irregular shapes , and leg lengths ; but they are just as valid , AND accurate as the pristine letter shapes. I can assure you they are well worth the effort it takes.

With a bit of practice , they will " pop out " at you. I apologize for hijacking so many "off topic " threads in the past , but I am passionate in my belief in these two patterns. I will be following it with great interest.
